one of the greatest myths of all time; a female's period comes as regular as clock work,...to the second...!!!

not true. "regular" can be loosely-defined as a couple of days early to sometime within a week late. worrying about it causes stress, and stress can interfere with regularity. activity, depending on level of intensity, can also interfere with regularity.

the older you become, the less likely your period will remain regular. you could miss a couple months, then have two periods in one month. if your time is regular, consider yourself lucky, but if the time is all over the days of the months, you need medical advice, and probably treatment for better regularity.

if you are younger than your mid-twenties and your time is starting to run irregular, then you need professional observation.
regardless, make sure you keep a diary of your irregularities. if you begin to experience irregularity, let a few months go by for a better history for your doctor to read.

could just be a false pregnancy: allot that is happening if you have a egg fertilized with a person who has been fixed, this is really a pain in the but to girls, the guy is fixed and can't get a girl pregnant but her body doesn't know the difference and tries to anyway on the sperm that is not alive and has a miscarriage in a messy way after her system knows that the whole thing was going nowhere.

Changes in the weather, changes in your activities, and even changes in your diet can affect your regular cycle. Always report this to your doctor though just to rule out any other problem that might be going on

If it is still late next week I would do another pregnancy test. But everything from cysts on your ovaries, stress, nutrition, to much exercise can make you late.
