Sure - HCG doubles every 48 hours so it would be better to wait an extra day. It needs to get up to a level that the test can read. Here's a link for test sensitivity (I like First Response Early because it has a low threshold). I got a - before all 3 of my + tests because I was an HPT junkie who started testing at 10 DPO :)

Good luck!

it is possible to get a differant result if your didn't use 1st morning urine the 1st time, and you did this time. Expecially if you've just missed your period and your very newly pregnant your hormones arn't always as strong as the day goes on. I'd test again with 1st morning urine and see what happens.

Depends on which test, hcg can show up as early as first few days of pregnancy.

i would wait another day to test. as hcg doubles every 2-3 days.

so if it was negative yesterday it will probably be the same today.

but if you wait another day you may get a positive answer.

good luck,
