The word 'tenacious' has two meanings :

1 If you are tenacious, you are very determined and do not give up easily. Example : She's pretty tenacious when it come to standing up for her rights.

2 Something such an idea that is tenacious has a strong influence on people and is difficult to change or get rid of.
