Seriously, Bush is so confused and dillusional anymore, I don't think he has any idea what he's for or against. If only more people from the right were as intelligent as you, then maybe, just maybe they would start to see the light.

this is the culmination of the fact that "stay the course" DOES NOT MEAN follow same strategies. It means continue towards our goals. A democratic stable govt in Iraq. Both him and the group believe this in that we just cant leave them high and dry, and we need to keep a foothold in the Middle east. However Bush then says getting the surrounding countries, Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia and not Israel is not a viable answer to stabilizing Iraq because that is exactly what we went there in the first place to do was make sure the stability of Iraq was not dictated by those groups that want to control Iraq policy and resources and want to push us out of the middle east which would destroy our economy. We are in too much need of the middle east and our drug dependency we have on oil. if any of those groups get control of Iraq too it will hurt us probably to past the point of no return.

You're wrong BB. He didn't actually say these things at the same time. It was spread out over an entire address. In order to understand Bush you shouldn't remember what he says so well and compare it to other things he says. Instead look at the first sentence and notice it's a good thing. Then the second and say hey that's good too. Then go to bed happy because he's our president and he's doing a doggone good job keeping our world safe from evil doers.

You certainly like to pick and choose parts of comments and then twist them to pervert the meaning. I guess that comes from being a Political Ghost Writer.
Which is it? All of the above.
If you truly cared about enlightening your "audience" then you would tell them that what they should do is read both of the articles from top to bottom that you linked to and then form a conclusion as to what the President said and what he meant. Instead you pick and choose what will make him look contradictory.
Yeah, that is real ethical... Honest.

That goes in the category of politician speak. Any similarities between politician speak & English are purely superficial.
