Put a password on your e-mail, and don't tell him the password.
I assume you use the same computer and this is what is causing your problem. Sign out from your e-mail every time you leave the computer. If you don't give him the password, he can't get back in. Then he cant get the activation e-mail form his sites, and your e-mail address will be useless to him.
You're stuck with the spam from sites he has already signed up with though. All I can say about that, is use a good spam filter.

Cancel the email address you share with your stepdad. He's using your email address because he doesn't want someone to know he's playing online poker or because he doesn't want to get spammed (so he's letting it happen to you). Cancel the email address, and tell him he can open another email account if he wants to keep playing. Then open a separate email address and use that for your own correspondence with friends and whatnot.

Depends!! What provider do you for your email?
You can build as many emails addresses from yahoo or msn.
I will either change my password if the provider allows such feature or create a new yahoo or msn email that your father
WON"T know about.
Fred.

You could open a free yahoo account without him knowing, change your password to your current account, delete all his mail before he opens it every single day so that he never gets mail and gets mad, open him a free yahoo account, or go through one by one like you said you did and unsubscribe to all his crap mail ! Hope this helps.

Your stepdad is a putz.
Try making him a yahoo address that he can use for this purpose...dadsjunkemail@yahoo.com or something. If he still persists, you know he's just doing it to be a donkey.

Set him up his own user account and email on your computer.
Failing that you are stuck!
But I would also tell him that by using your address he is technically committing fraud and identity theft is one hit!

Uhmm theres nothing wrong withhim doing that.
Yeh right, what a fool.
Tell him to get his own and that yours.
And make a new one.
Or make him one of his own.
