have asked this before but can describ more now as worked out how to use this thing!!!?

im 37 weeks wed and had midwife come round yesterday and she said that i am 2/5 engaged and she can feel the shoulders nice and low. i did mention to her that i have had a couple of period pains and maybe a couple at most backaches out of the blue i ahve my next midwife appointment on the 22nd of this month and she said only if i havent had him dose this mean that the chances of him coming early a big my belly has also dropped really low !! i just dont want him to come late as where its starting to drag now thanks for ur time again lol xxxxx

What she meant about "if you haven't had him by then" is you'll be past 38 weeks and considered full term. So yes, you might have had him by then.
As for the "engaged" bit, in the last few weeks, the baby drops it's head down further into the birth canal to get ready for the big day.

Just to drive you crazy .. there are a lot of symptoms of labor before it begins. Don't concentrate on a early delivery too much. I had early signs then had to be induced. Infuriating, because everyday I awoke thingkn it was the day for several weeks.

You are far enough along to star encouraging labor if you want. Walking, Sex (ha as if), evening primrose oil. Do a search for natural induction if you are too uncomfortable.
