ok, i'm 15 yrs old, and i honestly tried to read it, but i can't understand it at all... i know this might sound really stupid, but can someone tell me what this book is basically about and who the main character(s) are or is? also, i know there's a movie on this book, but its basically split into segments, and its really violent, so i didn't have the heart to watch it. lol. thank you to those that answer. :)

It is about the struggles of young men from the beginning of WW2 to the end. The hardships they endured drew them closer and they developed bonds closer than brotherhood. I believe this book is a little deep for a 15 year old, but please give it a try again. You can learn lessons from this book that will make you a better person for life.

The movie you are referring to is actually a mini series.
The book/movie follows Easy Company , a paratrooper division in World War II, under the command of Dick Winters.
There is also a follow-up book called Biggest Brother which follows Dick Winter's life from childhood till present day.
The book Biggest Brother was written by Larry Alexander and published by NAL Caliber, May 2005.

It's about a company of paratroopers in World War II. It follows them all the way from basic training to the end of the war.
