How about a spa/pamper basket filled w/pretty smelling lotion, spray, bath gel, bath beads, maybe some facial products (mask, exfoliater, moisturizer), stuff for a manicure/pedicure. Include a "NICE" set of FLUFFY towels/washcloth, an aroma therapy type candle and maybe even a cd of peaceful music or nature sounds...how about a nice fluffy robe/slippers too?
....you know....create a TOTAL "Calgon Moment"!

if the 2 kids are girls go for something personalized like jewellery, Charm bracelets or if they're older an mp3 player or Ipod If they're guys Music players go well or if they're younger stuff like toy race-cars or One of those toy guns that shoot soft spongy balls. Stuff that could amuse a kid while it still being gift-ish, if they're 9+ Game systems are good too like the Nintendo Wii or Xbox. Also for the girls if they're into dolls you could get them Barbie stuff or if They're not then maybe something from Build A Bear. That's really popular with kids lately

I agree a necklace or bracelet with the birthstones of the kids.
Or if thats too expensive a picture with all of them in it with a really nice frame with some sort of quote regarding best mom.

What does SHE need?
Something for her that she would not be able to buy herself
Like a spa visit
or a concert
and you getting someone to take the kids so she can go totally guilt-free.

A libray card. They are inexpensive - usually free. Just go to their closest library and sign them up. Books entertain and educate everyone.
Have a blessed holiday!
