Yeah probably!

I once worked in an office and went to the drinks machine and someone had unplugged it and another plug was in the socket. I swopped them over (thinking "bloody cheek") and went back to work....but we had no phones.....2 hrs later the boss came ranting through shouting "what ******** unplugged the back up generator in the hall by the drinks machine"!!!!!!

I would look at it very closely and examine it. Then I would develope an emergancy escape route.I would look from side to side and maybe even around the corner. Then I would listen for noise (just for a secondZ). And you know it, Push it and run.

It would depend what it was attached to. If it were on a bit of dangerous looking machinery I could resis tit no problem. If it was attached to a safe that said "press this button and get a million pounds" then I'd press it.

I'd discretely check for trapdoors in the floor, anvils in the ceilings, suspicious looking holes in the ground that look big enough to hide nukes and then, yeah, I'd probably chance it.

I would think: "its a button. buttons are made for pushing." so I'd push and run very quickly.
