50GBP = 98USD
Yes it is a bargain, and yes I would keep the 128MB module and pair it with another 128MB for another system.
This system will run slow compaired to the systems of today but for the price it's fair.

The processor is decent, the memory should stay, the HDD is decent, the DVD-Rom is OK, the floppy, well it's a floppy. The 15" monitor is kinda small, but considering you are including Win XP I would say the price is reasonable. Does it have speakers, mouse, keyboard, sound?
You mention Internet, but I do not see a modem or a LAN card.?

I would leave the ram in there. This person may need to run special software because of their difficulties in learning. Consider it a xmas present to them.
If you are selling your computer, thoroughly clean your hard drive. Deleting files and reformatting is not enough. Reformatting does not overwrite every sector, and private information can remain retrievable. Use a secure delete or disk wiping utility to overwrite every sector on all hard drives. Be sure to use a utility that supports the U.S. DoD standard of seven passes or wipes. While this method is good enough for most people, be aware that the only absolute way of destroying all traces of everything your hard drives is to have these disks degaussed (demagnetized) and physically destroyed.
Suggested: BCWipe, Evidence Eliminator, or SDelete.

£50 is a touch cheap really, but it's for a good cause I suppose. Too much higher and no-one would buy it.
Leave the RAM in, a spare 128Mb, is it really worth keeping hold of, at today's RAM prices?
40Gb HHD seems a little generous, I'd pop in a lot smaller one if you can be bothered to re-install the OS.
Swap the DVD for a CD drive.

I think that if you are making a profit / happy with selling it then do it, the 128mb of ram you are talking about keeping wont make you any cash as the technology sounds a tad old.

not to knock your pc mate, but it's pretty lame. I think at £50 you need to leave all the ram in you can. He may have learning difficulties, but they will be worse without the ram.

I'd keep the memory in there, what would you need it for? That price sounds reasonable for the older hardware. The memory is plenty enough for what it's going to be used for.
