That is a great question.... it seems like in the days of "Pre-TV" there were a hell of a lot more familiy interaction; like the whole family eating together at the dinner table and not in front of the tube.
I must admit, I am a bit of a TV addict, and sometimes I wander where has time go to? I missed the times where I was little and there was only one TV set in the house with only four network channels which transmitted between 8:00 or 9:00AM and 11:00PM... preceeded and followed by the national anthem and a test signal and then.... static!

I luv this question, which calls for a lengthy answer.
Unfortunately, I'm watching the news right now, educating myself of the world and what's going on in different parts. I look to the media for all my answers because you know, whatever they put on TV is the truth. (being sarcastic)
“By the age of six the average child will have completed the basic American education.... From television, the child will have learned how to pick a lock, commit a fairly elaborate bank holdup, prevent wetness all day long, get the laundry twice as white, and kill people with a variety of sophisticated armaments.” - unknown

Television is so cr*p I only watch about 5 programmes a week.
And I could live without them.
But I suppose the pubs would be packed with unfulfilled soap fans howling and getting into fights, so maybe we should keep it after all.

A bit more intelligent than we are right now. Newspapers, radios and books would be the means for gaining information.
But my favorite thing is, if there were no TVs, we wouldn't have this current MTV generation of guys and girls that attempt to live their lives as if they're on Sweet 16 and Laguna Beach.

A lot better...the world would be closer together (bonded wise), families wouldn't be so far apart emotionally yet so close physically, children wouldn't grow up knowing things they shouldn't know till a later age, teens would be less influenced do to do things that they do do today...basically, yeah, the world would be a better place.

Toss up--- more intellegent is my assumption. There are educational shows, but the ratings of educational shows to E! News is surely drastically different... Family's might actually pay attention to eachother and some parents might actually have to interact with their kids... HM! What an idea! We wouldn't get news the way its delivered on TV, though- but how do we really know what honest news is anymore anyway???

no tv, no watching movies in the comfort of your own home. think more people would just gather around the radio to get the latest news. Radio would be the only source for entertainment.

Well we did get through about 10,000 years of humanity without it, so once the shock wore off, we'd probably just get on with other things - like talking to each other.
