Since he was arrested, he's been laying low.
Here is what I found on him......
Launched in 1986 and budgeted at an eye-popping $325,000 per episode, "Pee-wee's Playhouse" attracted adults as well as the targeted children, and during the popular show's five-year run (1986-91), Reubens never appeared as himself in public, granting print interviews in full Pee-wee regalia. It all came to an end on July 26, 1991 when Sarasota (Florida) police arrested Reubens for indecent exposure, setting off a circus atmosphere worthy of "Big Top Pee-wee" (1988) that prompted the network to cancel the "Playhouse", far greater punishment than the $50 fine (plus $85 court expenses) Sarasota County would exact. Pee-wee appeared one last time at that fall's MTV Music Video Awards before a standing ovation and asked, "Heard any good jokes lately?" Since the retirement of the Pee-wee persona, Reubens has kept busy in a series of off-beat character roles, starting with the Penguin's father in Burton's "Batman Returns" and a cackling vampire henchman in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (both 1992). He provided some major laughs for Danny DeVito's "Matilda" and Ken Kwapis' "Dunston Checks In" (both 1996), as well as voice work for "Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas" (1993) and "Dr. Dolittle" (1998). Reubens also found newfound success in the recurring role as the smarmy, obnoxious nephew of the network president (Garry Marshall) on the CBS sitcom "Murphy Brown".

Paul Ruebens, aka Pee Wee Herman, just finished filing Reno 911! Miami to be released in 2007. I don't think he plays a large part, as his name was way down on the list of the casts. He did play in one episode of the tv drama Reno 911, as Rick in 2006.

Also, Pee Wee's Playhouse: The Movie has been announced and slated for 2007 release. It is an "epic adventure where the characters get out of the playhouse."

He has been busy doing things he likes. :)
