NAPA used to but I don't think any more. It usually isn't worth it. Cutting them makes them even thinner. One good hard/emergency high speed stop and there is a hard spot or warp as we know it. Just buy middle range replacements.

I guess depends on what state or what auto store. I live in Michigan and Murry's auto parts stores measures the rotors to see if it is thick enough to cut. They usually charge $10-$15 per rotor. For the price of rotors now a days its cheaper to replace the old rotor with a new one. Check your yellow pages or on-line to see if you have a NAPA auto parts stores. I believe they turn rotors also. Hope this helps.

turning rotors is becoming a thing of the past for one reason the rotors are just about minium when they are new. My experience over the years is buy new rotors. The last ones I had turned were about $12.00 each

SOME garages turn rotors, if they have the machinery. Otherwise, there are specialty brake shops, automotive machine shops and even traveling machinists -- one came to my mechanic's shop and turned my rotors while I waited once.
If you don't want to replace the rotors, try looking in the yellow pages under things like "automotive services-machinists" and so on, and call them and ask for estimates. Some machine shops will not disassemble the brakes for you, though, you or your mechanic will have to do that.

You could try just calling a parts store (or several) and asking if they turn rotors and for how much. I know it sounds like a wierd concept - going right to the source instead of asking a bunch of strangers who don't have a clue - but well worth it.

auto stores don't turn rotors. garages do
auto stores will test your alternator, starter, rent you tools and code readers all for free. but they don't turn rotors. they sell new ones which are not much more than taking your rotors to have them turned, and a lot less trouble.

A good front end shop is worth its weight in gold.
They'll check all your running gear from the u-joints to the wheel bearings to the brakes every time you get an alignment.
And they'll turn the rotors every time they do brakes for you.

Is the turn over real rapid...Faster than normal? Yes? The timing chain is busted ...get a new engine or a new truck, No? Check the distributor module. The "little black thing" with connecters on each end under the distributor cap. It can be removed and taken to Autozone and "bench tested". Not the problem there? Then check the Coil. Still not the problem? then you got a bad distributor.
