UCI appeals to me more campus-wise (people, location, etc.) while Berkeley appeals to me more academic-wise.

I want to major in Psychology.

You're kidding, right?

If that's going to be you logic, you should be comparing Berkeley vs Disneyland. Disneyland would be a hellava lot more fun than Berkeley any day of the week.

Actually, if you even have to ask the question you'll probably never get in anyway.

I would say UC Berkeley, because it is significantly stronger academically (and as far as I know, its psychology department is excellent). Plus, the location is great, and anyone I know who went there said that they really enjoyed their time in the area.

Use www.princetonreview.com and see if they have ratings for the program you desire.

Good luck!

Personally, I would say Berkeley, but then again when it comes to specific programs I have no idea.

Berkeley isn't really for the thinkers anymore. I'd suggest Irvine. It has a little more diversity of thought than Berkeley.

Yeah CAL! Cal actually is kind of a party school. Nice people too. Pretty good school, but not the best you could go to.
