she is a ridiculous, over-rated, leotard and chinchilla fur-wearing waste of space.

It's true people's 'accent' may soften or change when they live in another environment -- mine has done so (although I can't really hear it, when I go back to the States many people say they can hear a difference in inflection, tone, etc.)

As for Madonna - she's as phoney as an 8 dollar bill.

I heard she was having elocution lessions and that was about six years ago. Her new posh accent helps her to fit in with the country set who she mixes with when holding shooting parties at her country pile. And she dresses the part too in her tweed suit and cap!

What's the problem? Most people will start to adopt the accent of wherever they are.

Madonna's a brilliant chameleon, that's how she makes a living. Maybe she's also becoming a bit more cultured in her old age?

Same with that other lady, Gwyneth Paltrow. We shouldn't knock someone for trying to better themselves.

Madonna really annoys me. I'm assuming that she likes her new accent and I think she assumes by having a new accent that people will also like her more or something. Very odd.

shes like a sponge, picks up on things all around her, throughout her career. thats what made her successful, so its no wonder that living in england for so long, shes gonna pick that up from her husband and friends who have an accent. don't blame her, its human nature! lol

Ester's getting kind of weird. Her fake British accent seems to come and go.

It's as phony as she is. However, I hope it an attempt to become more British, and stay there forever. She the most over-rated "celib" ever.

her husband is British, we often start to unconciously mimick accent in the people we're closest to.
