For part of their Christmas presents, I want to make my cousins compilation CDs of really very good legendary songs... I'm having trouble thinking of what to put on there! I'm putting 'Another Brick in The Wall' on, but I've got no more ideas. Any thoughts?

P.S. Nothing that remotely touches religion. I wanted to put 'Stairway to Heaven' on, but this is the fundamental Christian part of the family, so can't put that on! (Just trust me on this one ok?)

PPS. No swearwords, unless there's gonna be a radio edit or something. Theyre 5 and 8!

THANKS xxxx

If they are so religious, Dont put "Another Brick in the Wall" on for Pete's Sake - LOL! 'Stairway to Heaven' would be a lot safer to explain. How about 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' that defines undying friendship, and/or 'We only Just Begun' which is about forever love.

Put basically anything by the Beatles on there, Definately a few Zeppelin even if you cant use Stairway... nothing too sexual though, maybe Thank You or Down By The Seaside. get the youngins into the Grateful Dead theyre a dying breed.

how about my favorite christmas song when i was little, "all i want for christmas is my two front teeth" by the chipmunks. that would be cute for little kids.

aside from that, how about the beatles?? everyone should know them. i would say yellow submarine because its fun to sing the words out loud and everyone knows them, even a 5 year old.

edit: ohh i forgot how about kansas dust in the wind? i love that song and its pretty well-known.
