Definitely. History shows the background of the world, so we can understand current affairs. For example, how would we know why some Muslims are so opposed to Christians if we did not know how we tried to slaughter them wholesale during the Crusades? Or how could we know why there is so much infighting within the Middle East if we did not know that many of the nations' national boundaries were drawn on a whim by Winston Churchill, and not by the countries themselves?

History does mean a lot to me! If it were to change so would my life and thats what is so amazing about it. Every history class I have my teacher makes me like history, and it makes me want to go to his class. So thats my answer...

YES!!! History gives perspective for the future! Not only that, but history is also a kick-*** cool story loaded with suspense, intrigue, sex and violence, and WAR. lol.... Hows that for an answer?
