i have a cat, and i hate cleaning the fish tank, but the fish wont die. I dont want to kill it, how do i get rif of it!

The more responsible thing would be taking care of the fish. But if you're that desperate, give it to the Petstore or a friend. Or flush it down the toilet, jk.

I used to run a bait shop and we sold goldfish as bait. When I closed up I had a TON of goldfish leftover cause they were more expensive. So i took them out to my grandfather's pond and dropped them in. If you know anyone with a fish pond in their yard you could give it to them. Goldfish can grow to enormous lengths. Most pet stores probably won't take a goldfish since they usually have a ton.

Give it to a fish store. They will usually take all unwanted fish unless they are ill. If your fish is in good shape, return it to some fish place close to you and tell them you just don't want it anymore. Most places will take them. Good luck!!

At night, If one of your neighbors have a pond, then just dump it in there! They'll never know and your fish will feed itself mosquito eggs! everybody wins! -j/k the responsible thing to do is to take care of it or give it to someone who will :P

Post an ad in your local store and tell them free gold fish!

I'd say give it to a friend or a pet/fish store. Flushing a live fish, whether they'll remember it or not, is just probably a bad idea. Then again, you could always give your cat a treat. But it probably will kill it, play with it, then not eat it anyway.

Give it to someone who might like it. Goldfish are very smart and they know when you don't like them. He needs a happy place.

i guess the best thing to do would be to give it away to somebody who would care for it and clean its tank and everything.
and if you can't find someone who will take it, if you have a local petstore, see will they take it in. good luck!
