I think that's a good price for a sweater- most stores charge more and I've had good experiences with AE quality. So, if it'll last a while, that's a good price.

No, paying $400 for a sweater is a bit much but $44.50 is not much at all for a nice sweater.

No, I don't think you overpaid, because that's how much sweaters cost these days. I can't find anything at a low price and I'm like the cheapest person ever. Like, my sweaters that I brought are like 30 bucks each (and they are not brand names at all), which is still a lot. That's why I rarely shop. Too much money.

Yes ma'am.
Return it, watch it online, and wait for it to go on sale.
Even if it's cashmere, that's too expensive.
AE has great clothes, and an even better clearance rack.
In the meantime, check out Marshalls.
Sometimes they have AE "leftovers", maybe they have a loose thread or two, but they hardly ever go over twenty bucks.
Especially since you seem so unsure of yourself, you want clothes you're proud of, not that you hesitate to wear or buy.

yes. since most of their sweaters look the same. and the style is very bland and easy to find in other stores, with a much lower price.

I would think so, but American Eagle is overpriced for very generic looking clothing
