my c drive shows 5.30 gb with data, but when I enter it and select all files and folders, they are only 4 gb. why?
ps: i enabled showing hidden and system files too

I have system pagging on my d drive, using XP and the 1 gb IS allocated to my c drive! I'm not that stupid, guys!

Bear in mind that Windows reserves space for the system paging file, right click My Computer, select the Advanced Tab and take a look in the Performance options.

What OS are you using? Sounds like some of the drive is not allocated properly. There may be 1GB that is not formatted.

as per my knowledge the space has been used by OS while partitioning...donno the exact concept
