A BAD battery will drag down a GOOD battery---go to Sears and invest in a simple ""multi-tester"" the salesman will explain the use and application you want ---ask the right questions for use and tell the guy what you are doing so you will be able to get the best use of a new tool and learn from him--most Sears salesmen in the tool dep't have good knowledge of all tools....also change the corroded battery cables to heavy duty ((double oo2) so that charging and starting power can flow both ways___that why you need good connection to the batteries and the reason that I am suggesting better cables for batt to batt and batt to alternator and good ground---so you can get the charging/start system working correctly...........good luck...wc

You need to put a battery load tester on them to see which one is bad.
