I just send all my Christmas cards...each 84 cent stamp....that also goes for Austria and Switzerland...

I'm german, living in the US and send out a whole bunch of letters to germany. The normal size and normal weight letter costs 84 cents to germany.

it costs 84 cents to send a normal letter to germany, so unless the people at the post office decide to be nice and send it without enough postage, you would need more than 2 stamps.

For a standard sized letter two will do it. If you went to the post office they could tell you the exact amount but that's always too much trouble. I just put two stamps on and it works every time.

You haven't told us where from but try the web page of your country's postal service. It is most likely they will have a price checker of some form and the limits for size and weight (and if you're lucky even the estimated travel time).

I've mailed a couple postcards and they cost me 70 cents each for postage. A letter will be more than that.

normal airmail rates, unless its going to an APO , NEW YORK address , which is what our Military uses , then it will just be the normal mail fee.
