Better and cheaper is to purchase,
an 'access point repeater' they wil also work for Airport Express internet connections.

Too bad that Apple takes wifi standards and designs proprietary garbage. Wireless networking is one place where Apple is really crappy compared to the competition. Go with netgear, buffalo tech or dlink. Linksys's linux based routers are great, but their range extender has similar linksys only interoperability. I think I most recently used a Dlink to extend a composit network and it worked literally out of the box.
