I know this one for sure. The latch on the trunk needs to be adjusted and not with the bolts. Try this: Open the trunk about halfway (so that the license plate is about at your stomach) grab the latch with your hand and pull towards you firmly. I promise you it will shut. What usually happens is the trunk get shut on something and it actually bends the sheet metal where the latch is bolted. Good luck.

The latch mechanism has closed, and needs to be released by hand.
Use a screwdriver or similar object to physicaly release the latch on the trunk lid while you turn the key.

Get dirty dirty girl, usually this means that something has come lose and out of adjustment, tighten all screws on latch, clean and lubricate. wd-40 is not a lubricant, it is a penetrate, be sure to lube parts after using wd-40

If you want one you can buy the complete unit at autozone and install it, your car probably didn't have one installed at the factory as it is an option now.
