Last night, I was at the movies. After my movie ended, I went to the bathroom - there was a short line for the men's room, and a longer line for the ladies room.

Right after I got in line, a guy brought his girlfriend into the men's room (I could hear her telling him "I can't wait in that line! I have to go") and he and his girlfriend cut the line, he walked her to the only stall in the mens room, and as soon as the guy in the stall came out she went right in.

Was it OK for her to use the mens room?

Or should she have waited on line to use the ladies room, even though she would have had to wait a lot longer to go to the bathroom?

And should she have cut the line and gone right to the only toilet, or should she have waited on line (even though she needed the stall and the guys could have used either the stall or the urinals)?

As a woman, I have only used a men's room when the women's was occupied and the mens was a single unit with a door lock and no men were waiting to use it. I don't think that would offend anyone. I do think, however, that for a man to do the same in the same situation might be somewhat offensive because so often after going into a unisex restroom (there are many in Chicago restaurants now) following a man, there are splatters on the seat...or the seat has been left up. Then again, I've seen plenty of women who refuse to sit on a public toilet seat spray the darn thing with their urine and not clean it up before leaving. That makes me SO mad. No wonder they won't sit on the seats...they know what THEY do to them!

I think it was wrong for her to butt in line, but see nothing wrong with her using the men's restroom as long as all of the men in line had a chance to go first and none of them cared if she came in. To just walk right by everyone and help herself to the stall was selfish and rude. I myself have used a men's restroom when I really had to go, but did not cut in line, actually there was noone in or waiting for the men's restroom and someone was in the women's.

It's a well known fact that there are more women
than there are men. And bathrooms don't usually
allow many to go at once, if at all. No, it was wrong
of her to use the Men's room, and especially, cut in line. but, in her defense...when we have to go, we have clothes to remove and all kinds of acrobatics to do.
If we have to go real bad, it's entirely possible we will
pee all over ourselves or clothes. Plus...is she's pregnant, there is no such thing as "holding it"

We all know , when ya gotta go ya gotta GO ! But the fella should have at least asked if it were o.k. if she went ahead of them. She could and should have asked the girls if they would allow her to go before them. Sometimes we girls may be pregnant , or have bladder problems. Anyway, she should have asked first and the fella should have asked first. It's a lot better than having a bunch of guys wanting to tear his head off for pushing their way through. So, yes it's o.k. if a gal uses the mens room. But it's NEVER o.k. to be disrespectful to others.

It's ok to use the men's room if the line is too long but it's not ok to cut in line. unless your really pregnant and can't wait.

I have used the mens room on numerous occasions. If the line is too long for the ladies, you gotta do what you gotta do. Nature waits for no one.

Well, i think that if I had to go that badly, I would have thought ahead and went to the bathroom before the movie ended, you could ask the person you went to the movies with what hapened or wait for it on DVD.

Men can unzip their pants, whip it out, and pee, anywhere. Women have to unbutton, unzip, pull down their pants, put toilet paper on the toilet, sit down, pee, wipe, and pull up their pants, zip up and button up. Now do you see why it takes women so long in the bathroom. Be a little more considerate next time, Vinnie.
