I have two Apple laptops for two years - no dead or stuck pixels, although apple considers up to 3 off on the side or in a corner acceptable.
I have one cheapy lcd monitor at work and now have one stuck pixel after 2 years.

LCD is better, mine has a dead pixel. You can hardly see it and I've had this monitor for a very long time.

No, I would rather have an LCD. I've owned five, three Dells and two laptops, and none of them have had any dead or stuck pixels.
