Why is it so hard to build people up?

It is much harder to recover from something negative then positive. We automatically think and worry about negative comments or situations whether then to remember the positive. Building someone up is far more difficult because it requires more work within yourself. Such as, building confidence up again, learning to forgive and trust people etc..

It is not hard to build people up when you do not feel threatened for any reason. I love to compliment people, support them, and help them any way that I can. But I also know for a fact that I am a rare breed of person because I am told that quite often. I am told I am weak because I care for people. I say, "Tell it to God because He made me this way."

We live in a society where people always have to find something wrong with someone else or degrade and talk about people in order to make themselves feel good. In my eyes, that is the biggest waste of time because one is spending time worried about something that is not important in the grand scheme of things.

Sometimes It Is because we are down and dont know what It Is like to be up and dont mean to hurt anybody,I dont tear people down but have experianced being torn down when I needed a lift up.

I go read my Bible now and the Bible always lifts me up and gives me hope

There so many more negative influences in peoples lives than positive that it becomes easier to believe the negative. It is in harmony with the song that is playing in their heads. Positive notes, although beautiful, seem off key so they are discarded. It takes more time and effort to convince people to even listen to another song, let alone sing it or let it become their anthem.
