Never been to Pirate's Adventure, but I have been to Medieval Times (in NJ). The show isn't incredibly great. It's just a bunch of guys riding around on horses. They try to get the crowd to interact with the show by seating you in specific sections (i.e. the yellow and red section is supposed to cheer for the yellow and red knight, etc.).

The food isn't exceptional either. The portions aren't very large, but I do remember that they attempted to offer seconds in order to get rid of the meat that was left over (there are several choices of meat and it seemed like everyone chose chicken instead of the ribs).

It can be a fun experience if you go with a large group (as I did), but otherwise, it's not a good place for a dinner date, unless you know the other person really well already and you know you'll find loads of things to talk about during the long (and often boring) show.

Oh, but there is a pretty nice gift shop that has a lot of trinkets and things related to Medieval times (if you're into that sort of thing). And skip the museum (I forget the name, but it's about weapons and torture devices used in the Medieval ages). It's very short and it's basically a lot of displays with cards for you to read about the devices.
