Try revver.com. This is what the site says:
What if creativity could pay the rent?
If you like to create or share video, Revver was made for you. Every time someone watches a video that you've uploaded or shared, you could earn money. Best of all, we protect your rights as an artist.

Well that depends. Does Yahoo make money from Youtube? You bet they do.... by indexing the content, and providing advertisements on the indexed pages.
The problem with sites that make their money from advertisements, is that you live and die through the income (virtually fractions of a penny per page view) that advertising (CPM, CPC, and CPA deals). Some people generate some decent revenue purely from google adsense for example, but those people have a lot of clicks, and typically have built a community. With that said, none of them have gotten rich, as the more page views you have the more you spend on infrastructure and bandwidth.
The people who have monetized the internet have largely done it by selling goods or services. For most other people, the web is largely a marketing tool, or commerce system. Ironically, people come to the web for the content, and the content providers get the smallest piece of the pie.

You can't make money from YouTube specifically, but there are other similar sites which do pay for videos, such as break.com. I believe they pay between $200-300 per video (assuming they like it).
