I am relocating to San Antonio Texas, but I need to get some feedback as to, the best middle schools, and high schools.
I would like to live in a nice community, with friendly neighbors, nice landscaping. And no crime.
I have done my research as far as to keep away from Olmos Basin, and along Salado Creek,Leon Creek, and Cibalo Creek, because of flooding.

Helotes is very nice, and some areas around I-10 and 1604, especially north, and 281 north is beautiful. Traffic is horrendous there, though. A lot of people from out of town like the Alamo Heights area, which is a little older and has a lot of architectural character. It can be expensive there, though, especially the property taxes.
A lot of areas are nice, and I miss San Antonio a lot after moving away with my husband. The food is great, and you're likely to get fat! :) I think you can check crime stats on mysa.com.
Good luck!

The best area right now depends. Nice area in money levels. I can tell you the Dominion is one of the most expensive.
But City wise, NW san antonio. there is lots of construction going around, Appreciation of the houses are going up and up. The schools are one of the best, did i mention clean as well. Lots of new things giong on, a great new mall in that area. close attractions, like Fiesta texas and Sea world and La Cantera mall its just beutiful love it! The only bad part its that all freeways are super crowded when the work hours are there. 7-8 and 3-7.
Good luck

Northside ISD (northwest sector) is awesome to live in! Things are nearby, great people, and great neighborhoods. I'm now living in the Turtle Creek subdivision (Datapoint Drive), and it's so new, that the guys are still building!
As far as schools go, NISD is one of the biggest in the state. I'm now going to Rudder MS, and the high school nearby is Clark HS, off of DeZavala.
With landscaping, it's ok, things grow, so, yeah.
With crime, however, I see cop cars when I come home on my bus, so I don't know. I see guys pulled over around the base of my neighborhood, maybe because there is a club.
EDIT: Uh, steer clear of Rudder MS, because they got uniforms. Unless you're cool with that.

It depends on your price range. The Northwest side is great and growing and we have some great schools. I don't think you can find anywhere totally free of crime, but I have lived in my area for 7 years and had no problem at all. We are also close to some super malls and parks - also attractions like Sea World and Six Flags Fiesta Texas.

Good Highschools are Brakenridge, Sam Houston, and West Campus. I've never actually been to those schools but those are schools with good athletics teams and that i can see not much crime. san Antonio is a good place to live you just got to pick the right place. Hope you enjoy San Antonio

i've lived on the NW side of town my entire life, minus 4 years living in austin but when i moved back that's where i went. it's growing really fast. and is fairly quiet...not a lot of crime but we've had our cars broken into in the drive way twice in the 5 years we've lived here (but that's to be expected any where you live,)
I loved the schools i went to which were Murray E. Boone Elementary and Earl Rudder and my sister really liked Tom C. Clark H.S.
good luck with the move.

I just moved here from Los Angeles, and we moved to Helotes, and I absolutely love it. Very nice and quiet, and I have no kids yet, but I have heard that NISD is one of the best school districts. good luck. anything inthe north will be good. good luck
