I'm not sure if they know the meaning of kisses but when you give it to them they know your face and smell your scent and feel your warmth and soft skin. They just love thi affection. My son is 10 months and smiles when I give him kisses but I don't know if he understands exactly what I'm doing

Yes, they know it means that they are recieving affection. My baby hates them though and she is three months, when anyone kisses her she cries..so not all babies like them.

Yes! babies love touch, especially from there parents. It helps them feel secure and loved. It is very important! You can't resist giving them kisses anyway.

They can sense when you are showing them love. I give my baby lots of kisses.

I BELIEVE THEY DO. THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF THEIR LEARNING PROCESS. MY BABIES WERE RETURNING KISSES BY 5 MONTHS. A LITTLE SLOBBERY, BUT WONDERFUL.
