Actually it makes sense because you will have more money the following day to spend on presents because most of them will be half price and sales in oxford street are fabulous especially clothes.

True, you can save money by buying christmas presents on boxing day, but you'll need to think of some original excuses for delaying your present giving!

Perhaps you should ask people what excuses you can give for giving presents a few days after christmas? How about: you're going to wait until the greek orthodox christmas before giving presents because you don't want to offend the greek santa claus? :-)

Well, I do give my kids smaller presents on Christmas day but I buy the majority after Christmas.
It does make sense money-wise.
My kids also enjoy shopping after Christmas as well, especially when they get to spend their Christmas money.

Well, it'll be cheaper, but everyone will know that's why their present was late, where's your Christmas spirit? its the thought that counts and what does deliberately trying to get presents on the cheap say about your thoughts of them?

It would be O.K if you are visiting them shortly after Christmas. But it does leave the shopping a bit late.
