Most foundations made today look natural. The trick is to find the right shade for your skin tone. go to a place that will let you try it before you buy. Merle Norman is one place that comes to mind. good luck!

I have been using Bare Minerals for 4 years thanks to some really bad teen acne and kinda large pores. During the time that I have been using it, it has cleared a lot of the scarring up from the acne and has improved my skin 300%. My pores are smaller than they were and the makeup isn't something that you have to constantly re-apply throughout the day. The Mineral Veil acts to hold it all together, it's not cakey, not thick or heavy. I think that Bare Minerals is the world's most perfect make-up for any skin type.

Bare minerals are very expensive. There are cheaper versions you can try, and see if they work for you. Avon has a version that is the same thing, but, a lot cheaper.
Foundations in general have come a long way. The liquid ones work the best for me.

I didn't want to spend a lot of money on Bare minerals before finding out if they really worked either. What I did was I found one of the many sellers on Ebay who sell tiny little sample containers of them. It was cheaper than buying the large sizes and they sent me 5 different shades including the 'warmth' and concealer powders. After I had a chance too see if I liked it and which shades worked best for me, I THEN splurged and bought the regular sizes.

I have tried the Neutrogena Minerals, I did not like it because it made my face look shiny & you have to retouch every now & then. I also got some pimples from using that.
I have a Co-worker who tried Sheer Minerals & Bare Escentuals. She told me that she likes Bare Escentuals better because she likes the coverage, it lasts longer & it doesn't look cakey.

I use Bare Escentuals and have for nearly 10 years. I'm always getting compliments on my skin, as opposed to my makeup, which tells me I'm doing something right! You can use a little or a lot, depending on how much coverage you want. It can get a little pricey but I buy mine from qvc.com and you can return anything you don't like for a full refund.

I use Arbonne's mineral powder foundation. I LOVE it! It's light, airy, doesn't cake, and leaves your skin kinda glowy and fresh looking. And it was only $34 verses Bare Minerals at $60 somethin.
I checked around a lot before I ordered. Avon's has 20+chemicals. I chose Arbonne, because it is actually MINERAL powder makeup! Not just a buncha chemicals.

Physician's Formula is amazing-
all natural, doesn't clog pores, is cheap :)
Most of their make-up is sheerish, their cover up isn't great because it's sheer, but they have this cool thing where you put this greenish stuff on red blotchy spots and the green counteracts the red.
Their pearls of perfection powder is bloody fantastic and lasts forever--I got mine last Christmas, and I'm not even down to half almost a year later :)

I use Bare Esscentuals and it works great, I have red skin and when I put it on I can barely see the red on my face and I love it. I think you should try it, they have diffrent minerals for diffrent skin types and that's another reason what I like about it it's not just one make-up kit it's several
