how can a player get credit for a 1/2 sack?

when 2 defenders both bring doen the QB they give both defenders credit instead of one of them

when 2 players get there at the same time, they are each credited with 1/2 sack

it is because 2 or more people helped with the sack. If that is the case you only get a "half a sack" instead of a whole one. So make the play by yourself and the whole sack is yours!

If you and I hit the QB at the same time, then we each get 1/2 sack.

It's when more than one player sacks the QB.
