No, George Bush and his administration turned the country into xenophobic racists. His foreign policy is atrocious and I just can't wait to get rid of the guy and his non-American ideals. He'd just love to be a dictator.
And don't forget they are trying to have the right to read all our emails now, as well as tap our phones - wow, is that the freedom our troops are fighting for?

George Bush didn't do anything. Get real. Bashing Bush is a silly and comical idea instead of trying to get a real answer. I have lived my entire life in Texas. There have been issues about illegals coming across the border even before my time on the planet. When I was young, they weren't called "illegal immigrants". You could find them on every farm and dairy working. It wasn't a big deal years ago, but there are so many that they have started to become a taxing burden in certain communities and cities. It is a crying shame that after all these years, the pathetic government of Mexico hasn't done anything to provide for the citizens. It is even more of a crying shame that the tax paying citizens of this country have to pay the bill for the illegals. I think it is great that we have a country that can help the poor of Mexico provide for their families. However, I am tired of the crime, higher taxes, and higher insurance costs associated with the illegal population. I think they need to have an easy way to become legal and pay for the benefits that they used while here. I shouldn't have too.
I do think that 9/11 did change the way everyone evaluates their neighbors. Good or bad, it is the way the country is now. Republicans didn't do it, Democrats didn't do it, and no the Bushes didn't do it. Thousands of lives lost in NY made a lot of people weary of others. Unfortuantely, I think there will always be some form of bigot or racist mentality. I don't think you can cure it, but hopefully, people will be smart and work towards common goals and objectives that will be beneficial for all people.
Keep the faith up.

Bush is trying to side track us and keep us busy.
The truth is his one [adopted] family member owned the terrorist and his family's security company did a bunch of work on the towers,.. hollowed them out of protective insolation atleast,.. then their business building had a controled implosion that started to freak out people because they thought more buildings blocks away were explodeing or being attacked but they all described it as or their description matched a controled implosion (a type of construction demolision). These eye witnesses exsist at the very least,.. and the employees in the towers that remember what the temp secondary Security was doing shutting down the towers the weekend or weekends before 9/11... but you know,.. people try to change the subject and junk. I suppose it can hurt them to face the truth.
Anyways,.. another thing is all this money that's going to war. He is cutting everything,.. constantly looking for something to distract people on the news while he cuts programs, funding, social security,.. remember Shivo... ya... don't need life support without Insurence even if it's just a breathing machine to help you for like a week until you stablolize.. because that's gone (and better check your insurence thoroughly because things like that were already getting cut from some of those, too). How about the Autistic Boy who can play Basketball,.. same day all this Autisim stuff was cut includeing support to people with Autism and families with children with Autisim,.. Research was stopped and shut down,.. they were planning to release some things in the next two years to the public to prevent and assist Autisim. But anyone that questioned Bush in the Government got this responce,.. It was needed for the War. *rolls eyes* Then I talk to people and friends in the War... They had to drag their entertainment with them,.. they are treated like they are 12 years old by whoever is in charge of their unit,.. like they can get grounded or time outs. Everyone steals/shares their stuff. They will tell you they don't have armor, they don't have equipment,.. they don't have ammo,.. some times they don't even have weapons (or they share a certain number of weapons amoungst the group and that number may be 1 ) and they aren't even getting food any more so the people in the country we are invadeing... they make friends with families of these people (they are supposed to fear them because their children could be living bombs according to the things they are trained and stuff mind you) and are fed by them.
So someone needs to notice all this vanishing War Money and say something >.>
But,.. let's get distracted by a wall and blame the Immigrants for even the companies in our country being too poor to hire people,.. I mean,.. the Immigrants supposedly stole all our jobs. Ya right,.. that's why Doctors and Nurses can't get jobs or fired... the Immigrants,.. it couldn't have been when some states had to shut down a ton of Hospitals and Offices... and cancel developement and funding,.. because money is being redirected to whatever the hell Bush is talking about. No no,.. everyone needs someone to focus their anger on,.. the Immigrants (from the South only of course) can be the internal terrorist and the people feeding our troops can be our external terrorist.

Xenophobic racists? The US Constitution is not a mutual suicide pact! Profiling is not racist-its common sense. I don't think that any red-haired terrorists were involved in 9/11. One man's xenophobia is another man's cry at being engulfed by non-English speaking neighbors.
Lighten up. St. Hillary will resolve all our problems.lol

Its you. You must not be very old or read much about American history. Because, Americans have been complaining about immigration since the United States was founded. There were laws called the Chinese exclusion acts put into place during the 19th century because of this. Xenophobia and racism are also not American phenomenas either. They are both present in all nations and cultures, and always have been.

It's been obvious from the beginning that the Bush administration has tapped, and worked hard to spread fear and loathing, to draw out xenophobic racist tendencies and divide the American population for the rightist GOP political advantage.
