top it somewhat is what we do . . . place a paper towel down on your microwave and place the jar indoors the middle. start up up at like 30 seconds, then if no mandatory consequences (the wax is melted) come to a determination for 40 5 then a minute etc till at last the wax is the two very gentle or thoroughly melted. heavily, using the two a mitt, pot holder, dish towel, or a paper towel folded distinctive circumstances get rid of the candle holder (jar) and till at last now the wax starts off to kick lower back, insert yet yet yet another paper towel to take in each and all of the melted wax. Use yet yet another clean paper towel to wipe off the better of the residue and this even eliminates any scorched (black, sooty) places on the interior the jar, as properly. only be very careful!

Place jar in a pot/bowl of very hot (not boiling water). Do not let water get into the jar. Soak up the melting water with paper towels or napkins (twist these up and save as fire starters if you camp out or barbeque). Repeat as necessary.

Hot soap and water along with a scrubby pad should get rid of the final film of wax residue.

I would avoid microwaving due to risk of fire/fumes, and the use of boiling water because it could be too much of a heat shock for the glass jar and it could shatter.

Put the glass jar in a pot that is deep enough to cover it with at least an inch of room temp water. Bring this to a boil then let it cool cool slowly. This will melt the wax, allow it to float to the top where it will collect. After this cools to room temp, the wax will be in a lump atop the water and you can safely remove the glass piece.

You can put them in the microwave, but above all be very careful, only a few seconds at a time, the glass could break and you could get burned. I use a spoon to remove as much as I can and then wash with hot soapy water to clean out the rest

Put it in boiling water. I take paper towels and get the stuff that won't pour out. I then repeat. Finally , I wash with soap and water. I just did this a few days ago and used the old holder for my lucky bamboo stalks. It looks cute with a few rocks.
