yeah, you should. if you keep your gpa up now, you won't be scrambling next year to get it up for whatevr colleges you might want to apply to. the gpa and rank your college sees first is your gpa as of the end of your junior year. remember that.

Your dad says your grades need improving because he knows what you're capable of. As a teacher and former smarty in school, I think your grades are just fine with the exception of your geometry class. I hafta say though, that I sucked out in geometry my freshman year. You're an intelligent person taking on more than the average person. Your father expects more than an average performance. :) If I were you, I'd focus on raising the geometry one. Everything else seems great.

I think you are doing great, maybe improve on your geometry a little.
It is a dads responsibility to see that you do the best you can do, if he has nothing else to gripe about then I think you are in good shape. I am sure he is very proud of you.
A 3.81 GPA is very good, and will get you into the college of your choice.
Just remember, study hard and be happy. Always try to do your best, and know that dad only pushes you because he wants you to be the best you can be.

Only if you wish to succeed in life.

"These are my grades and I'm happy with them" will get you a job (perhaps even a managerial position) at any fast food establishment.

"These are my grades and I'm trying to do even better" is what you need if you'd like to do better than a career in middle management at the International House of Carbohydrates.

Do you want to just be able to afford your rent? Or would you prefer to get paid to do something you love to do?

I hate to say it, but your Dad is right!

everybody needs to improve, but grades u get starting from middle school are on your perminate record.. u should try to get them higher....failing is a bad thing (though im sure ur far from it) it can leave a bad scar on ur diploma, which now adays is practically required to earn a good paying job along with college degrees and such. I hope this sheads some light on ur question..
good luck

happy holidays

There's always room for improvement in anything that one does. Even if one believes it is the best they can do. But I think you're doing great.

What do you think? Definitely. Even a straight 'A' student should always strive for better.
