Decals are placed throughout the car in hidden areas. You place a black and yellow decal on both front door windows. You put the VIN # on plain decals so they are hidden from view ie under a seat or bottom of door. The hidden placements are kept on a list which is kept away from the car. This is used as an aid to help the Police trace your car. This system is now being used in England and is approved by some Police Forces there. I got one set when on holidays in the UK but unable to get anymore.

are you referring to an etch that goes on the car's windows? they have the VIN on them. only place I've ever seen them is at dealers that do that to cars they sell. mabye you can find some on eBay?
