Ordered alot from ebay this week and felt really sorry for my postman who had to lug the items along with his normal mail.. why do parcels/packets not come with the parcel van? These kind of items can be awkward/heavy and as I say are not ideally suited to the poor worker on foot..

That a question for the post office. Im sure there is a policy regarding a minimal weight that a person should be able to lift/carry. I would think the maximum is up to the carrier (that is if it is exceeding what the post office requires)

No idea what policy they have but the roadworkers that work for me are not permitted to lift more than 20kg so the poor butch men can no longer lift a concrete kerb between two of them they have to have a machine to lift it for them
