I'm not even sure if you actually were able to sue for slander if you would get anywhere. Some people would think she was just plain crazy. The question is, WHY would someone maliciously make a statement like that? Let him take the lie detector test, when you get the answer you NEED, then deal with him and her appropriately. What makes this situation worse is that if she is lying, and he did nothing wrong it will be hard for him to accept the fact that you didn't trust him. It's just bad all around.

Slander is the hardest type of case to prove. I don't know if I have ever heard of anyone winning a slander suit. If you go this route, your best bet is to investigate the actual abortion, (evidence of a paper trail). Seek legal advice but I don't think a lawyer will take a slander suit based on what you have revealed. The lawyer will be more willing to pursue a divorce then slander.

The real question is why don't you trust your husband? Has he given you reason in the past not to trust him now? I would say that no matter what happens, if he takes the test and passes or fails, you two have serious problems anyway. First, if he did cheat then there's an obvious problem with your marriage. Second, if he is telling the truth your marriage still has a trust issue...either way there is a problem.

You can only sue for slander if she went public with it :: What I mean is did she go to his job and tell his boss or get him fired or something like that :: That's when you can sue but if this chic is lying just be happy that your 'hubby' told the truth and move on

In my relationships I have suspected that some were dishonest yet i have continuously held my tongue on an accusation till i replaced into particular. there have been 2 situations the position i have accused the guy outright and they have performed the " properly who do you imagine it replaced into with?" element and that i have been incorrect on my wager of human being, yet not incorrect that they were dishonest. as quickly because it receives to the guessing recreation component to the verbal change, that is a moot element besides. If i comprehend they're dishonest i do not truly care if this is with the neighbor, the city floozy or vast fowl. fortuitously i have got here upon someone that i will believe now, yet there have been a lot of frogs and toads alongside the way.

Why would you believe some nut and not your husband? I think you are using this as an excuse for leaving him. After he takes the tests and comes out innocent don't be surprised if he takes the kids from you and divorces you. Who would want to be married to a woman who would believe a nut case?

You can't sue her unless you can prove damages. The only damages that was done was the ones instigated by yourself.

He can sue her for slander if it isn't true. You can sue her for ruining your marriage. Get a lawyer.

You can try, but the courts are going to laugh in your face or be pissed at you for wasting their time.

It's a personal matter. Handle it like adults, and don't waste money.

no there are family immunity laws. A family member can't sue another and even if they can, that's not slander.
