I usually only rate something if I am going to give it a thumbs up but if I do give a thumbs down it is because the question is horrible like the one where the person asked how he could turn his daughter into a prostitute that one got a thumbs down for sure!

No never I always try to answer questions that have a bit of appeal to me,hence the easiness to give a thumbs up to the asker,on the other hand whenever anybody gives me an half way reasonable answer I always give a thumbs up as well.

Yes. It depends, though. I don't give thumbs-down if I don't agree. I just do when the question had the potential to be a good one, and they just, basically, screwed it up! Also, if the question is unintelligible or completely unclear b/c of the sequence of the words! I just think, in some cases, they could have done better at expressing their ideas!

No i dont. But i think some people give thumbs down because they either dont like the question or they think its a stupid question. If i dont understand a question or dont know the answer to a question i just move on to the next one. I dont give a thumbs down.

No , I give a thumbs down if the asker is not nice, or if the question is dumb... an yes there are dumb ones. This one on the other hand is not dumb. BTW, Where are you going?
