For exercise, just get generally stronger. Work-out.
You can also get bat-donuts to make a bat very heavy, and practice swinging it. Once you take the donuts off the normal bat will seem light.
Bat size isn't nearly as important as bat speed though. It's better to have great control and speed with a small bat than a clumsy, slow swing with a big bat.

swing a weighted bat on the on deck circle then take the normal one up. Also, take BP with a bat a couple ounces heavier then what you want to use. Doesn't matter if you don't swing that bat well, if you do it enough it will excercise the muscles you want for better bat speed and make your swing much quicker with a lighter bat.

Weighted bat, two (or three if you can control them) bats in the on-deck circle. Another thing would be to choke up a little on the bat, make sure the bat handle is firm in your fingers and not the palm of your hands.
One thing that worked for me as far as exercise was a wrist roller, it made my bat speed much better. If you are more comfortable with the smaller bat, I'd recommend standing closer to the plate. You'll reach outside pitches better, and if your hands are quick enough, you'll be able to react to inside pitches.

there's a technique called choking the bat lol now you're not really choking the bat as if you're strangling the bat choking the bat means to hold the bat with your hands away from the barrel of the bat the barrel is the round stubby little circular part of the bat just do that and the bat should feel ten times lighter

the terrific element to do is to get a donut or sleeve-weight and take a brilliant number of prepare swings. The trick is to do a brilliant number of reps and use your real swing mechanics (do not basically swing the bat around such as you're warming up on the on-deck circle). start up sluggish, yet artwork youself to a minimum of a few thing like 10 instruments of 10 swings each night with the load on the bat. by using the time season starts off, your new bat could experience lots lighter with out the load.

A doughnut. It is heavy when you swing with it while you are in the on deck circle and makes the bat feel lighter

I used to take a 5lb weight and "fling" it back and forth between both hands, building up wrist strength. Use a donut when you're on deck, but use it on a heavier bat than the one you'd use. It'll make your bat feel lighter.

Either get stronger, use a bat weight, or choke up on the bat.
