i have a 93 ford explorer and want to find my thermostat?

Disconnect the heater return hose at the thermostat housing located on the left front lower side of engine.

Remove the coolant outlet housing retaining bolts and slide the housing with the hose attached to one side.

Remove the thermostat from the outlet.

Remove the gasket from the engine block and clean both mating surfaces.

All Thermostates are located in the heater hose so the water can flow thru them as its way from the Radiator, I think.
