i am new to using endnotes and footnotes in academic papers. usually i use paranthetical citation but i like endnotes because they look better. anyways when i insert the endnote number in the sentence, should the number appear before the period or after the period? is there a good website to show me how?

The number should be right after the . and there should be 2 spaces between the number and the beginning of the next sentence.

The end note should be after the period.
For instance:
Blah blah blah blah. 1 (This one would be superscript)
The format of the endnote will be according to the style you are using...MLA, APA etc.
