Don't bother cleaning it, treat yourself, buy a new mouse.
Get an Optical one.
Don't buy a cordless one, unless you like buying batteries, although there are re-chargeable ones now, it's tedious when they go wrong, which they will.

have you ever instructed the condominium supervisor that the pest administration isn't working? If not, then he desires to appreciate this. For the mice, purely get mousetraps and bait them with peanut butter. (sure, I mentioned "peanut butter." They like it!) For the roaches, whether, the pest administration guy will possibly not be doing a ok interest, or he's constantly utilising the same chemicals. Roaches mutate and the babies grow to be proof against chemicals that have been used on the adults. The pest administration guy desires to alter what chemical he makes use of each and every time to get to those resistant ones. He additionally desires to be utilising a residual spray so as that those that cover interior the partitions gets it while they walk the place that is been sprayed. reward

take it from me ,ball mouses are absolutely rubbish, they do have a mind of their own and this is due to the way they are designed
a optical mouse is much more presice and not very expensive to buy,you can get a optical mouse for around £6($12) from any good p.c store
optical mice work by a beam of light which converts info to the mouse and as it dosent actually touch the mouse mat you can use it on any flat surface(except glass)
i am very suprised that any decent p.c manufacturer supplied a ball mouse as part of a package,i have nver seen any p.c,s for sale with ball mice in the last 5 years of reading p.c mags ect
good luck

You could clean the mouse ball, but you will probably have to do this pretty often. An optical mouse costs about $7, never needs to be cleaned, looks cooler, and generally performs better. It's probably worth just replacing your current mouse.

Unscrew the bottom of it and remove the ball. Give the rollers a good clean as you'll see dust and dirt on them - take all this off and assemble it again, and it should be fine. If not, take it back and demand a new one.

Turn it over, remove the round piece keeping the ball in and carefully scrape the dust of the little rollers that should go round. There will be three of so that touch the ball and respond to its movements. You will need to do it regularly.
