As a woman releases an egg each month, the lining of her womb becomes thicker to prepare itself for pregnancy. If the egg is fertilized, this lining will then gently cushion the egg as it develops into a baby. If the egg is not fertilized, both the egg and lining leave the woman’s body through the vagina - and this is what causes the bleeding you experience during your period.

You should really talk to your mum or an older sister (if you have one) They'll understand they've been through it too remember!!

Basically your body (ovaries) release an egg every month full of your DNA. During this time you are ovulating. Which means that if you have unprotected sex you can become pregnant. Now your egg Will hang in for a few days and having sex once a guy Will release over a million sperm carrying his DNA they are strong swimmers can live up to seventy two hours and it only take one to pregnant your egg, then both of your Dan's join together that is the start of life called conception. However, each month you do not get pregnant you body ejects the egg along with the nutrients lining the womb that your body stores anticipating this new life. That ejection is your period.

You should ask your mother. But your period happens every month. It is blood that comes out of you private part, every month for about a week. It happens to all girls and ends when women turn about 50 or 60. at the end of the month, and egg will drop out (it will be something whiteish) If someone becomes pregnant it will not happen. It is a cycle girls go through every month, when they get older. During their period girls sometimes get grouchy and eat a lot, and get bloated so it may look like they gain weight. To find out more, you really should ask ur mother.
