that has happened to me a few times too. definitely try a warm bath, take some midol or advil, drink some warm tea and stay warm, try to stay active if possible... if absolutely nothing helps, you should visit your dr. it's possible you may have endometriosis - a condition in which you have extremely painful periods.

I hope you don't mind an answer from a 59 year old 'girl'...when I was your age I went through the same thing that you are. I remember shopping with friends and actually going to the ladys room to throw up. How embarrassing! Back then there was no such thing as Midol! When my daughters had the problem I told them to try to do a small amount of exercise even if it was just to walk a little bit and that helped them a lot. Everything your doing, the laying down and heating pad make you just lay there thinking of how horrible you feel. You need to get up and do something to get the sick feelings out of your mind. I know it's hard to do but believe me it works! Take a walk to a nearby store. Anything but wallow in your misery. Good luck honey. It's all over with before you know it.

I have never had a feeling of throwing up, but I do experience extremely bad cramps. I would recommend to make yourself some tea with honey and a Little bit of milk, drink it hot, and take long nap. It might help I cant guarantee it though. I don't know how you feel about birth control, but ever since I started it, I get very little cramps and I can barely feel them. To add to that my menstrual cycle switched from 7-8 days to about 3-4. If your not against birth control, try looking into using it (especially if your sexually active)

This was how I spent every period until I started birth control. As bad as it sounds, I would take a hot shower until the nausea reached its peak. After I ralphed I always felt soooo much better! Vomiting releases relaxing chemicals into your body so you should be able to sleep after that. If this happens every time, consider going on a low-dose birth control pill to alleviate symptoms.

Try exercising. I know this may seem like the very last thing you want to be doing at this time, but it really does do wonders for cramps.

Even just a light jog or a long, nice-paced walk will be sufficient.
