I was wondering if a Public Relations professional could tell me a little bit about what you do on a daily basis, what your salary is, do you travel, is your job stressful, and overall do you like your job?

i graduated with a public relations degree and its tough to find a job in ive been looking for a year now. but most of my interns in public relations i would have to update media contact list, call up editors if i sent products to them to see if they are you using it, doing a lot of writing such as press releases, pitching to editors, help planning events and attend them were you have to make sure everything goes smoothly. with salary and traveling it all depends on what type of clients you have and what type of agency/sports teams you work for. The job tends to be stressful but so is every job. but if you looking to get into public relations i would do my research because its very diffcult to get a job in, thats why im going back to school for something else. hope that helped you, if you want to know more feel free to contact me by email.

Go to www.bls.gov, you can look up any career and it's job description as well as view salary ranges.
