Yes, the wind exspells from them.
My friend ,a nurse, was laying someone out who had just died.
Scared her when the corpse broke wind.
She had one person sit up when preparing her for the morge.
Docter said it does happen on times.
That did scare her!

Yes - kind of. When a person dies the body is still eliminating. Gasses escape, solids and liquids may pass through the relaxed muscles and as time passes the skin will retract giving the appearance of hair and nail growth. It is a part of the decomposition process.

If someone has passed away recently, then they do fart as the wind still escapes etc...

But they won't be farting within days after the death.

well a fart is actually the emissions from bacteria that live in your lower intestine so if there is anything in there for them to eat then yes they will continue to produce emissions. plus you have all sorts of other things going on after you die that gasses are produced and it could take a while for that to calm down.

Yes they do "fart" but it is not a concious thing, as the body decomposes, gases build up in the stomach/intestines, which eventually builds enough pressure and pushes its way out. They can also "moan" from the same reaction. No they dont twitch, nor do they open their eyes

OOOHHHH!! YESS!! Heard it once....VERY disconcerting!! All to do with the breakdown of the internal tissue making gasses.....NASTY...but VERY funny ...once one is over the initial shock.
