If you have your own tanning bed it isn't as bad. If your using public tanning beds that's bad, all sorts of people use the public ones, it's possible to get an infection from a public tanning bed. If you have your own tanning bed you'd have less of a chance getting these infections and other stuff. If you over use a tanning bed it's possible to get skin cancer, I wouldn't over use it.

Tanning beds are definately not good for you. Skin cancer is the worst case scenario, premature wrinkles and a sundamaged skin are what you can count on for sure. This comes from somebody who has been tanning alot and who regrets it by now. One of my best girlfriends tanned much more than I did (several times a week). Recently dermatologist estimated her age according to her skin to 55. She is 35. Sad.

They are horrible for you! I used them for years, I have had skin cancer several times. Phase II, which means the spots have to be cut out. Which means scars. Please take my advise and don't! If you do..don't overdo it and always check your entire body daily for any bumps that look like warts, they may hurt or itch. See a dermatoligist at once! The sooner you get it taken care of the better.
Sorry for the negative response, I too, loved a tan!
